      Why Kampus Kaiserlei?

The urban development project, made-to-measure just for the area, is impressive with its clever building arrangement, differentiated façade designs and town square-esque communal area that connects the buildings.

New living space – vertically and horizontally

The project’s real eye-catchers are the two former Siemens office towers, one 19 and the other 22 storeys, which are being completely gutted, rebuilt and developed under the “VauVau Apartments” brand. Three new buildings with up to eight full storeys are being built around these buildings. The large open spaces between the buildings have plenty of greenery and playgrounds for the local residents.

What future residents and users of Kampus Kaiserlei can expect

In total, about 840 rental units will be built. Office spaces, a hotel, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, retail stores as well as restaurants and a day-care centre all contribute to a liveable overall concept. In addition, aboveground and underground parking will be created, with options for electromobility.

Setting new ecological standards by using green technology

Directly under the construction site, a large-scale geothermal system is being built to supply energy to the buildings. About 70 percent of the space in the Kampus Kaiserlei will be heated with CO2-neutral heating, reducing potential CO2-emissions by hundreds of tonnes. The additional use of photovoltaics and solar thermal energy completes the regenerative energy mix in the project.
