Located on Palaisplatz, in the middle of the historic baroque district, something wonderful is emerging: the Palatium. The 119-year-old building of the Royal Fire Insurance Institute becomes a dream come true that does not lack modern comfort. After extensive revitalization, 52 units form a new home for people who are looking for something special. New balconies for the apartments on the upper floors are being built on the courtyard side.       Why Palatium?

      The refurbishment of the listed former Royal Fire Insurance Chamber building at Palaisplatz is an extremely demanding undertaking. In addition to the elaborate work being done in the stairwells, the roof truss is being raised to create attractive condominiums with great views over the Elbe to Dresden’s Old Town.

      Modern lifestyle meets baroque charm

      Taking into account the provisions relating to the protection of historical monuments, the special old building arm is transferred to the present day. Generous representative stairwells in splendid Art Nouveau architecture, adorned with wrought iron railings, give future residents and guests a dignified welcome, newly planned elevators in all four stairwells lead them to the upper floors. Ornamental stucco and richly profiled room doors are harmoniously combined with modern design elements in the representative rooms.
